Dallas Maids - Covid-19 Update

The Majority of Dallas Maids’ Team Have Been Fully Vaccinated!

(Update originally emailed on 5/28/2021)

Hello! Memorial Day is here and I know we are all excited about celebrating. While the holiday may still look somewhat different than previous years, we each will have more opportunity to celebrate, relax, and enjoy time together. With Summer just around the corner, I wanted to take a moment to update you on our team’s vaccination status. With Texas getting back to normal we want you know that we take your safety seriously. While cases of the coronavirus mercifully continue to drop, we also know that each family and customer has different circumstances.

We have heard from many of our customers that they went to get vaccinated. Others have not due to medical conditions, faith-based convictions, or personal choice. With the pandemic still around us, I want you to know what we are doing to continue to provide you with quality cleaning service that is safe and provides peace of mind.

One of my great joys as the owner and operator of Dallas Maids is our team. We employ some of the most dedicated, kind-hearted, hard-working employees I have ever had the pleasure of leading. Throughout the Spring, many of our team members have decided to receive one of the three COVID-19 vaccines available in our state.

Our Staff Vaccination Status

The majority of our team has been fully vaccinated. As a result, they can continue to serve you by cleaning your home but with reduced COVID precautions in place. For instance, CDC research shows that vaccinated individuals do not need to wear masks indoors in most instances. What a relief! Taking our guidance from the experts, you may notice that some of our vaccinated cleaning crews will no longer be wearing masks.

They will do their best to social distance when possible. They won’t be too strict about it though, unless you request otherwise. Some of our cleaners, in continued show of caution, will continue to wear face masks but are in fact, vaccinated and exercising their personal discretion to keep their families, themselves, our customers safe.

Understanding the Non-Vaccinated

We do have a few team members that have opted not to receive the vaccination. Their reasons are similar too many of our fellow neighbors, friends, and family: religious conviction, personal choice, or preexisting conditions. Because we are still in the midst of the pandemic, these associates will continue to follow COVID-precautions as recommended by the CDC.

We also know that some of our customers may have underlying conditions. They might also be part of a vulnerable population, or be uncomfortable with our new setup. We completely understand the concern and there is no judgment.

As we all learned in 2020, there is no playbook for how to navigate a pandemic all the time! If you require your cleaning team to be fully vaccinated to enter your home, we will do our absolute best to accommodate your request. We want you to not only have a clean home, but one you know is safe for you and your family.

Thank you for continuing to be the best customers that we have the privilege to serve. Happy Memorial Day!

Warmly,

Greg and the Dallas Maids Happiness Team

Dallas Maids - Covid19

Your health is priority #1 for us during this COVID-19 pandemic. We have taken significant measure to protect you and our staff during the pandemic.

I’m happy to report staff are diligently following our safety protocols and none have become ill due to Covid-19.

Covid-19 Update Summary

We all know the basic Covid-19 safety measures. However, as cleaning experts who visit peoples’ homes all the time, we need to be extra careful.

This includes additional protocols, such as sanitizing all potential contact surfaces. There’s a lot of them in your home! You just don’t usually notice them.

These include: handles, knobs, light switches, arm rests, railings, remotes, and faucet handles. Of course, we will also pay extra attention to countertops and other flat surfaces.

We also have to carry gloves and hand sanitizer everywhere. And most importantly: wash your hands, wash your hands, and wash your hands again!

Last but not least, we have very strict protocols if we notice that a) any of our employees is feeling sick or b) any of our clients appear to be sick (with coronavirus or flu-like symptoms).

The complete list for our Covid-19 protocols are outlined in Dallas Maids’ Coronavirus & Flu Policies and Procedures. Please share these procedures with any business that may find them useful to protect their customers and staff. We are all in this together.

People have been asking about the precautions Dallas Maids have been taking to protect our clientele during the pandemic. Here are the Covid-19 related posts regarding actions and updates Dallas Maids have taken to date:

Dallas Maids - UPDATE_ We're _Essential_ and Open For Business!

Dallas County Considers Residential Cleaning an “Essential” Business.

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins has issued an order requiring all non-essential businesses to close down. This order is active from Monday at 11:59 pm, March 23rd until 11:59 pm on April due to COVID-19 pandemic. But which businesses are considered essential?

It’s clear that healthcare facilities, pharmacies, and grocery stores are essential. On the other hand, shopping malls, bowling alleys, and hair salons are not. The order states residential “cleaning and maintenance” is an essential business.

The order states “Essential Businesses” means “Essential Services Necessary to Maintain Essential Operations of Residences”. This includes “building cleaning and maintenance”. It further states “service providers who provide services that are necessary to maintaining the safety, sanitation…of residences and Essential Businesses.” You can see a small section of the order in the image below.

If you want, you can see the entire order here.

Similar proclamations and ordinances were issued in other states, especially California and Nevada, as well as the CDC guidelines for keeping homes clean and sanitized on a regular basis. Even OSHA issued recommendations for keeping regular housekeeping:

Dallas Maids’ Safety Measures

Our professional cleaners and office staff have been beyond zealous in adhering to the Coronavirus and Flu Policies and Procedures we implemented. They know their health and the health of their family depends upon it! To further protect you and your family along with our staff, here is the Client section of Dallas Maids’ safety measures:

  • We will not send a professional home cleaner with symptoms of coronavirus or flu into a client’s home. We will offer re-scheduling to another cleaner on a mutually convenient date when possible.
  • To protect our employees and other clients, we will not clean homes if anyone in the home is sick or showing flu-like symptoms. Please contact our office by phone of email as soon as possible when cancelling due to illness.
  • Professional home cleaners will wear a mask if requested.
  • Professional home cleaners will need to sanitize hands before entering the home and wash with soap and water upon entering and departing home.

Thank you for giving us a chance to help! May you and your family stay safe during these times.

Dallas Maids - Notice to Our Amazing Customers! Preventive Measures

We know, the times are uncertain and the media sounds scary, but the viruses and bacteria do not read the news and they keep multiplying and clinging to the grime and grease in your home.  The solution is to clean more, not less.  Professionally, not haphazardly.

Here at Dallas Maids, we have taken drastic preventive measures to protect you and our staff from COVID-19 and the flu. Our strategy is outlined in our thoroughly researched and doctor reviewed/approved Dallas Maids Coronavirus and Flu Policies and Procedures.

Please share the procedures with anyone that may be able to use them to protect their own employees and customers. We are all in this together!

Also, we need your help!

We will waive the cancellation fee for all suspensions related to anyone in the client’s home being sick. Further, please note the following rules of prevention.

Dallas Maids’ Preventive Measures

Finally, we will help you combat the viruses and bacteria via our new procedures and introducing Vital Oxide to our arsenal. It is our professional-grade, EPA-registered hospital disinfectant, killing 99.999% of corona-family viruses.

This service is free for our customers and will be available as soon as we receive special ordered supplies (probably next week). Please call and let us know if you would like this extra.
